OVERRUNNING CLUTCH

Used primarily in mowers, tillers and square balers, a Weasler overrunning clutch limits reverse torque during machine shutdown. They are used to freewheel in one direction, while driving in the other direction of rotation. When the driven shaft is rotating faster than the driving shaft, the Weasler Engineering clutch mechanically disconnects the driving shaft from the driven shaft. It allows your implement to free wheel to a stop, independent of when the PTO is stopped. Our overrunning clutches will not absorb any energy, so inertia start-up peaks must be damped by other means.
